Defenceman Development Camp

Ice time: 6:15 – 7:30 pm

This camp covers all the fundamentals of starting and skating backwards to then being able to pivot from backwards to forwards at high speed. We focus on each skating technique at a pace the player can learn properly with or without the puck. Throughout the week we will talk about Gap control, Containing and Attack in all 3 zones. Three important components to being a strong and steady defenseman. We break down the responsibilities of what to do in the defensive zone, the neutral and the offensive zone giving your child the skills to succeed in this demanding position. It advances players’ abilities to the next level to allow them to flourish during their winter and spring seasons.
